Terms & conditions
1. About these terms
These terms apply to appointments and cosmetic skin and laser services provided by Ruby J Robertson and to your use of this website. Booking or proceeding with treatment means you agree to the terms in force at that time. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
2. Consultations and suitability
Completing a booking or consultation does not guarantee that treatment will be offered. Treatment may be postponed, adapted or declined where Ruby reasonably considers it unsuitable, unsafe, outside scope of practice, or not in your best interests. A consultation, valid consent and any required patch test must be completed before treatment.
3. Information you provide
You must provide accurate, complete and current information about your health, medication, allergies, pregnancy or breastfeeding status, previous reactions and recent treatments. Tell the clinic promptly about any change. The clinic is not responsible for an outcome materially caused by withheld, inaccurate or out-of-date information.
4. Booking and appointments
Advance booking is encouraged and can be made by direct message, email or the booking link shown on the clinic’s Instagram profile. You will receive a confirmation email and a reminder email two days before the appointment. Keep your contact details current and complete any consent forms included in those emails before attending. Please arrive on time and follow preparation instructions. Late arrival may shorten the service or require rescheduling where safe treatment cannot be completed in the remaining time.
5. Prices, deposits and payment
A deposit is required to secure every appointment. Deposits are non-refundable where an appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, subject to applicable consumer rights. Cash, card, all major credit cards including American Express, and mobile payment options are accepted. Unless otherwise agreed, the remaining balance is due at the appointment. Prices and course savings are shown on the price list; the final quote may change if the agreed treatment plan changes.
6. Cancellations and non-attendance
Changes are governed by the cancellation policy, which forms part of these terms. Repeated late cancellation or non-attendance may result in advance payment being required or future bookings being declined.
7. Consent, outcomes and aftercare
Before treatment, you will be given relevant information about anticipated benefits, material risks, alternatives and aftercare, and an opportunity to ask questions. Cosmetic treatment outcomes vary and no specific result, number of sessions or permanence can be guaranteed. You must follow preparation and aftercare instructions and contact the clinic promptly about an unexpected reaction.
8. Courses and packages
Where a treatment course is purchased, sessions must be used within the validity period confirmed at purchase unless consumer law requires otherwise. Courses are personal to the named client and not transferable without written agreement. If a course becomes medically unsuitable, the unused balance will be considered fairly in light of services already provided and applicable consumer rights.
9. Guests and minors
You may bring a guest if the clinic is informed before the appointment. For space and safety, the guest must remain seated in the treatment room while treatment is performed. Children under 18 are not permitted in the treatment room. Age restrictions vary by treatment and insurance requirements; treatment of a person under 18 is not offered unless expressly confirmed as appropriate and lawful.
10. Behaviour and safety
Respectful behaviour is required. The clinic may end or refuse an appointment where behaviour is abusive, discriminatory, threatening, sexual, intoxicated or otherwise unsafe. Where treatment has already begun, charges may still apply to the extent permitted by law.
11. Products, refunds and concerns
Sales of services and products are treated as final, subject always to your statutory consumer rights. If you experience an issue with a service or product, contact the clinic within 48 hours so it can be reviewed and resolved appropriately. You may be asked to attend an assessment before corrective action or a refund is considered.
12. Website information
Website and social-media content is general information, not medical diagnosis or individual advice. It may be updated without notice. Seek advice from an appropriate healthcare professional for a medical concern. Links to third-party services are provided for convenience and are not controlled by the clinic.
13. Embedded Google Maps
The before-your-visit page displays an interactive map supplied by Google Maps. When that page loads, your browser connects to Google and may send technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information. Google may also use cookies or similar technologies under its own terms and privacy information. You can block third-party cookies through your browser, although this may affect the map. Please see the cookie policy for further information. This disclosure does not treat continued browsing as consent where applicable law requires a positive choice.
14. Intellectual property
Website text, branding, graphics and original imagery belong to Ruby J Robertson or their licensors. They may not be copied, republished or used commercially without permission, except as allowed by law.
15. Liability
The clinic does not exclude liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or breach of non-excludable consumer rights. Subject to that, the clinic is not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable loss, loss caused by failure to follow instructions, or loss arising from information you failed to disclose.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Courts with jurisdiction under applicable consumer law may hear disputes.
